Sam S. Rainer III serves as president of Rainer Research.
He has extensive experience in statistical and
demographic research. He is the author of numerous
articles and is the co-author of the book, Essential
Church, which reveals why young adults drop out of the
church and what the church must do to reclaim them.
He has also worked in a consulting role for Fortune 1000
companies. In addition to serving as president of Rainer
Research, he serves the church as a pastor, writer, and
blogger. He writes a regular column for Outreach

his wife, Erin, in Sarasota, FL, where he serves at
Sarasota Baptist Church.
